AIRJamaica is to launch its upgraded service on transatlantic routes with a special lead-in fare of £340 return (Travel Weekly February 3).
The switch to the Airbus A340 aircraft on June 2 will give the carrier 50% more capacity.
Reservations must be made by tomorrow for flights up to June 24.
The replacement of the 198-seat A310s with the A340s was made because the carrier has been unable to increase capacity through additional flights due to slot constraints at Heathrow.
A bonus of putting the bigger aircraft into the UK is that Air Jamaica has become the only airline to offer a first-class product to Jamaica.
