n jetset launches malaysia brochure



Jetset has launched aMalaysia brochure topromote the new twice-weekly Malaysia Airlines service from Manchester to Kuala Lumpur. The eight page Malaysian Magic brochure features single, two and three-centre holidays from five to 14 nights. Introductory offers for May departures start at £385 for five nights at the Ferringhi Beach Hotel, Penang.



n avis logs on with bta for internet offers



Avis is offering special deals and discounts on the British Tourist Authority’s Internet site as part of a year-long sponsorship deal. It includes offers such as a four-days-for-the-price-of-three weekend special and a £25 reduction off selected car hire prices plus free upgrades and tanks of petrol. n jamaica doubles educational trips



The Jamaica Tourist Board has almost doubled its trade educational programme this year as part of its drive to sell Jamaica as more than a beach destination. In conjunction with Air Jamaica the tourist board is offering 400 trade educationals compared with 250 last year. Around 10reservation and touroperator staff will attend the first trip on June 10 with three trips later in the year.

Europcar has signed afranchise deal with Mayday Vehicle Rentals for three UK sites, at Luton Airport, Luton town centre and Woodford, Essex.



n ward takes post as rafael sales director



Rafael Hotels has appointed Greg Ward as director of sales for the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia reporting to group marketing director Claudia Kozna. Ward joins from Corinthian Hotels International.
