British Airways accidentally shared a post to Facebook made by its rival Virgin Atlantic advertising cheap flights to London.
The airline amended the post after hundreds of followers spotted the error, with a caption reading: ‘Finally we agree on something except for how to get there.’
The link was first posted by Virgin Atlantic on October 19 advertising flights to London – and shortly afterwards was shared on BA’s Facebook page.
A Virgin Atlantic spokesman said: “We were quite surprised to see that British Airways shared our post, however, on this occasion, we do agree with them that Virgin Atlantic is the only way to fly.
“As the individual must have had a bad day, we’d be happy to offer them a free flight to make up for it.”
