The vice-president of sales for Dubai Parks & Resorts has thanked the UK trade for its support after the first attractions within the new development opened to visitors.
Speaking at a special function during World Travel Market in London, Julien Munoz said he was confident the multi-park development would be a major draw for the UK market.
He said: “The UK is the perfect equation as there’s a high affinity with Dubai and with theme parks.
“The whole complex looks spectacular and we are confident it will appeal to UK customers, but to get that awareness we need the support of our partners.
“The UK is a market where travel agents and operators are key players, so we want to thank them all for their support.”
The Dubai Parks & Resorts complex was unveiled to the public this week, with the opening of Legoland Dubai and the Riverland Dubai retail and dining area.
The development will be fully open by mid-December, by which time the Legoland Waterpark and Bollywood and Motiongate parks will also have opened.
