Clia has unveiled its new campaign asking agents to reveal the moment selling cruise really ‘clicked’ for them.

The association wants agents to send in videos or written descriptions for its ‘Cruise Lightbulb Moment’ campaign in an effort to highlight the diversity of cruise.

Director of Clia UK and Ireland, Andy Harmer, announced the initiative at the Clia River Cruise Conference in Amsterdam on Sunday.

Harmer said: “The campaign is a great opportunity to champion ‘only-in-cruising’ experiences and celebrate cruise advocates in the UK travel trade.

“It is also a chance to find out why so many people choose to cruise and what it is that people find particularly special about cruising.”

Entries open on November 24 and a panel of judges, including cruise line executives and members of Clia’s senior team, will select the winner.

The top ‘Cruise Lightbulb Moment’ will win a selection of cruise prizes and experiences to enjoy throughout 2017 as well as being crowned 2017’s #CLIAWinner.

To enter, agents must submit a paragraph of under 200 words or a short video to brightideas@cruising.org with the subject line ‘Cruise Moment’.

The deadline for entries is December 14.
