Royal Caribbean has appointed a new regional sales manager for Scotland.
George Scott will begin his role on January 3 and has previously worked as a store manager for Kuoni and a senior retail manager at Thomson.
Scott said: “I am really looking forward to joining such a dynamic and industry-leading brand and I can’t wait to introduce even more guests to the extraordinary world of Royal Caribbean.”
In October, Royal Caribbean’s former regional sales manager for Scotland, Colin Rillie, left to join MSC Cruises as a national account manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Scott will report into Sarah Weetman, head of retail for UK and Ireland at Royal Caribbean, and will be responsible for growing trade partnerships in the region and continue to build on Royal Caribbean’s close and successful relationship with SPAA.
Sarah Weetman said: “We’re excited to welcome George to our UK sales team in the New Year.
“George brings a wealth of knowledge to the role with his extensive experience in the travel industry and great relationships with the trade, helping us develop our retail team into the industry’s best.
“Scotland is an important focus for us, and as we continue to expand we know that George has the skillset required to drive this growth through 2017 and beyond.”
