A former agency owner who has set up an executive jet package company is seeking to work with the trade.
ClubJetVIP offers “affordable” flights on private jets across Europe by filling empty legs of journeys.
Owner and founder Peter Buckell said he saw a gap in the market when he noticed a large number of executive jets were empty.
Buckell who ran agency Global Travel Lounge in Norwich until it was bought by Premier Travel in 2011, is also a personal travel advisor for Holidays Please, operating as Travelman VIP. As well as selling Clubjet VIP himself, he is offering around 10% commission for any agents who sign up to sell the flight packages, which are Atol protected through his partnership with Holiday Please.
Buckell, who was also previously the marketing director for the Elite Travel Group, said: “I have been working the last couple of years with executive jets and noticed how fast the market was growing.
“However when I looked at all the empty legs I nearly fell off my chair, there are empty planes flying everywhere. People pay for helicopter experiences or flying lessons so flying in an executive jet is another aspect of that.”
Clubjet VIP has more than 40 jets in its executive fleet departing all UK airports seating from four up to 46 people. The executive packages currently on offer until January are listed on the ClubJetVIP website.
“Any travel agents who want to sell this new product can get in touch. Customers are always looking for a new way to enhance and experience a holiday and now they can in luxury and style.”
