Details of a dozen new European routes to be flown from Southend airport were revealed today.
The services will be operated from May 2017 through a franchise agreement between Stobart Air and Flybe.
Stobart Air and the Essex airport are both part of the aviation division of logistics firm Stobart Group.
The new routes are Cologne, Lyon, Milan, Budapest, Venice, Prague, Vienna, Reus, Dubrovnik, Figari, Perpignan and Zadar in Croatia.
Further routes are expected to be added at a later date.
Tickets go on sale from today (Thursday) and take the number of routes served from Southend airport up to 28 from spring 2017.
Stobart Group chief executive Andrew Tinker said: “The confirmation of new routes from London Southend airport today further builds on the strategic growth platform we have created in Stobart Group’s aviation division.
“This is part of the next stage of our strategy to build new passenger routes at London Southend airport, capitalising on the growing demand in the south-east.”
