RIAIR RIGA AIRLINES TO RELAUNCH SERVICES


Riair Riga Airlines plans to relaunch the Gatwick-Riga and Paris-Riga services later this year. It ceased operating the routes when partner carrier Transaero withdrew its aircraft at the end of last year. Riair is seeking a new partner for the four weekly ex-Gatwick flights.


GRESHAM PALACE TO REOPEN AS FIVE STAR


The Gresham Palace apartment building by Budapest’s Chain Bridge is to reopen as a 212-room,five-star hotel in September 2000.


KEMPINSKI HOTEL EXPANDS SPORT FACILITIES


The 460-room Kempinski Hotel Zografski in Sofia has introduced new sports facilities, including an eight-lane 10-pin bowling alley and four tennis courts, two of them indoor.


VENUE CHOSEN FOR HOLIDAY WORLD 2000


Holiday World 2000, the central European tourism fair organised by ITE Travel Exhibitions, will take place at Prague Exhibition Grounds from February10-13 2000.


MUSIC SPECIALIST INTRODUCES OPERA TOUR


Prospect Opera and Music Holidays has added a six-night tour to Poland, featuring two opera performances apiece in Warsaw and Crakow,for £995 per person.


KIRKER INCREASES COVERAGE OF BUDAPEST


Kirker Holidays has added two Budapest hotels, the Art and Alba, in its second-edition city-break brochure. Three-night breaks at both hotels start at £415 per person ,including transfers.


PRAGUE MARRIOTT SET FOR SUMMER OPENING


The 290-room Prague Marriott is due to open in the city centre this summer. The five-star property has conference facilities for 685 delegates.
