COACH operator Leger Holidays is targeting growth of 8% in its newly launched Christmas and millennium programme.
Most of the growth – which will take carryings to around 15,000 – is expected to come from Belgium and the lakes and mountain destinations of Switzerland and Austria.
Christmas prices lead in at ú249 per person for a five-day break in Holland, departing on December 23.
Leger managing director Ian Henry said prices for millennium packages have been kept down because of the long-standing relationship with many hoteliers.
“In Belgium, for example, a four-day break in Brussels cost ú199 last year and for the millennium it is ú299,” he said. “Picture postcard destinations are popular and and we have extended our programme to these destinations.”
