Cosmos bids to catch early bookers with new brochure

COSMOS has launched its first Earlybird America and Canada programme in a bid to increase its share of the early-booking market.

Graham Mumford, general manager of Cosmos America, said the operator normally launched its first-edition brochure in August at the same time as its major competitors Jetsave and Titan Tours. “We want to ensure commitment to the Cosmos brand,” he said.

The operator has reduced its Earlybird deposit from the normal ú90 to ú50 to further encourage early bookings for the programme, which has been held at 1999 prices.

“Earlybird customers will be protected against any future price increases.

“In addition we offer the flexibility of being able to change the booking to any offer in the first-edition brochure, when product, with no amendment charge.”

Based on United Airlines, the new brochure also offers free regional connections to Heathrow from six regional airports, except in July/August where a charge of ú29 per person is made.

Prices lead in at ú829 for a 10-day tour of New York, Niagara Falls and Washington. Tours of the western states lead in at ú845 for the 15-day Western Wonders visiting Los Angeles, Palm Springs, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Yosemite, Carmel and San Francisco.

A new winter Grand Canadian rail tour has also been added. This is a cross-Canada rail trip from Toronto through the Canadian Rockies to Vancouver. Prices start from ú1,099 for the 12-day itinerary.
