The first property of a new budget chain called The Big Sleep Hotels has opened in Cardiff.
Two floors of the 82-room Big Sleep Hotel, previously named the Goodnight Inn, are currently being refurbished but the hotel is still open for business.
The Bedfactory Hotels Group, owners of the budget chain, has been set up by entrepreneur Cosmo Fry who is planning to develop a chain of fun, contemporary style hotels as an alternative to budget properties such as the Travelodge chain. Targeted destinations include Bristol, Bath and Swindon.
Fry’s partner is Lulu Anderson, fashion editor of the Saturday Telegraph Magazine and he also has the backing of celebrity investors including actor John Malkovich.
Room rates start at £58 for bed and breakfast at the Cardiff landmark property.
