Emirates has introduced an Arabian Airpass, allowing its UKpassengers travelling on normal fares to Dubai to make substantial savings on journeys within the Middle East.
Valid for flights from Dubai to a range of destinations, including Amman, Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Cairo, Doha, Damascus, Dhahran, Kuwait, Muscat, Riyadh, Sanaa and Tehran, the pass can be purchased for anything from two to six sectors.
For example, the savings the fare from Dubai to the Qatari capital of Doha is $40, compared to the normal, one-way economy fare of $161.
The only restriction is that reservations for the first sector must be made at the time of booking Emirates’ international flights from the UK, but subsequent passes can be bought at any time and are valid for three months from the first date of travel. There are no minimum stay requirements.
Emirates flies to Dubai twice a day from Heathrow – to be increased to three services on July 1 – and once a day from Gatwick and Manchester, all non stop.
