n CAA calls in bond of failed Focali turizm



The Civil Aviation Authority has called in the ú1.1m bond of Focali Turizm.The Turkey and Floridaspecialist, also trading as Inter Holidays, was licensed to sell 21,400 annualholidays. It was based in Blackfriars, central London



n former head ofpan am dies aged 58



Martin Shugrue, the former head of Pan Am, has died of a stroke aged 58. He worked at Pan Am for 20 years during its heyday from 1968. He left in 1988 to become the president of Continental Airlines, but five years later resurrected the Pan Am name.However, this venture failed last year.



n Stansted tops Baa passenger table



Stansted recorded the biggest passenger growth amongst BAA airports in the 12 months to March 31. Ithandled 7.4m passengers, up from 5.5m in 1997/98. The growth of low-costairlines has helped to put the airport in top spot.
