ARTAC proposals need more careful consideration

OVER the past few weeks I have read in the trade newspapers considerable worries over changes in our various associations. ABTA, Advantage, etc. My concerns relate to ARTAC.

Changes are being introduced to our constitution, as with ABTA. After three requests to our board to advise me of a different media to contact the membership, I find myself using trade papers, even under threat of bringing my association into disrepute.

We should all study some of the proposals very carefully. I believe that 80% of the alterations are fine.

What I ask is that you all cross-refer the new proposals with the 1994 constitution. I have a list of the amendments that may cause concern. If you require a copy please contact me. Fax me on 01442 834400 and state your membership number.

You should vote the way that is best for your company. The future has many questions, so caution over immediate decisions is imperative. I look forward to any responses.
