SINGINGand dancing is in but jokes are out, according to passengers on Thomson cruises.
The company has axed comedy from its ship-board entertainment programme following negative feedback from customers. Apparently cabaret is the favoured form of entertainment these days.
A Thomson spokesman stressed that the company had been booking a wide mixture of comedians so Backchat is mystified by this sense of humour failure by customers. The final gag will be cracked and the last laugh will be heard at the end of April.
