THENEWLY formed Scottish Passenger Agents’ Retail Consortium has named Ken McLeod as chief executive.
McLeod, currently a director of tour operator Canadian Affair in London, will return to his native Scotland to take up the position on May 4.
Before moving to London two years ago he worked with Carlson Worldchoice, then known as ATMays, and set up the group’s in-house consolidator Airsavers.
He later headed up product and planning under the ownership of US-based Carlson Companies. McLeod, who was also a former chairman of the Association of Airline Consolidators, will work from home.
SPARC director Roy Brabender said McLeod will be a full-time paid employee of the 44-strong organisation, working alongside Brabender and the other four directors who are not paid.
“When Ken starts, we will sit down with him and discusss his needs. Whatever he thinks he needs, in terms of support, he will get,”he said.
