Alamo Offers People-Mover Deal


Alamo is offering multi-person vehicles in Florida for £245 a week until June 30. The vehicles, either Chevrolet Ventures or 4WD Chevrolet Blazers, hold seven people and are popular with families going to Walt Disney World.


Suncars Link-Up Ends Check-In Woe


Suncars clients arriving at Orlando’s Sanford Airport without their voucher can have their reservation checked through a new link from Alamo’s rental desk into the Suncars computer. Previously clients would have had to rebook and repay, although the money would have been refunded once the original booking was confirmed.


Tampa airport desk for specialty clients


Florida-based Specialty Auto Rentals, which offers people-movers and Mercedes, is opening a rental desk at Tampa Airport this spring. It will be the company’s fifth airport location in the state -others are at Miami, Orlando, Sanford and Fort Lauderdale.


Holiday Autos rolls out training


Holiday Autos has launched its third distance learning training module, focusing on tips and ideas on what clients can do when they rent a car in Florida. It also has details of SIPP codes used in the motor industry to describe car types. “We would like these to be used by all rental operators, as there are accepted definitions but no standards for groups,” said Holiday Autos marketing manager Lindsey Pritchard. “The difference between a group A and B car may be that one is two-door and the other four-door.”
