REGENT International Hotels is set to become the first company to open a property on New York’s Wall Street.
The Regent Wall Street hotel located at 55 Wall Street – an historic landmark that originally housed the Merchants’ Exchange – will have 140 rooms each containing a private bar, cable television, and connections for a fax and a computer.
The group’s president Paul Hanley said: “As the ninth new property announced since the Regent was acquired by Carlson in November 1997, this represents a 100% growth of the brand.
“What we set as a two-year goal we’ve actually managed to achieve in just 15 months.”
The Regent Wall Street reflects a major step in establishing The Regent brand in key global destinations.”
