KLM Glasgow service taken on by Suckling

SUCKLING Airways has taken on the London City-Glasgow route after KLM UK decided to drop the service after just one season.

The Cambridge-based airline will increase the schedule to four flights each weekday instead of three. It will also offer a single Sunday service.

KLM UK, which started the route in October, stops its flights today and will not use Suckling to operate the flights on its behalf.

The Dutch airline uses Suckling to operate its Southampton-Amsterdam service in a codeshare arrangement.

Suckling’s launch of London City flights comes two weeks before it adds a second flight from the airport to boost its business travel revenue.

From April 12, the airline will offer four flights a day to Dundee on weekdays and a daily Sunday service.
