AMERICANExpress has launched a two-for-one offer for holders of its Platinum and Gold cards, called European Airline Privileges.
The offer entitles members to buy two business class tickets to destinations in Europefor the price of one full-fare business class ticket.
Purchases can be made from May 1 this year to April 30 2000.
The programme is initially being launched in April throughout the UK and Italy to more than 300,000 members.
They will be targeted through direct mail and statement inserts.
The offer will also be launched in other European countries throughout the year.
Airlines that will be participating in the two-for-one programme will include Lufthansa, Alitalia, Air France, Aer Lingus and Sabena.
