Cruise brochure first from Wallace Arnold

WALLACE Arnold has launched its first brochure dedicated solely to cruising in a bid to expand its non-coach business.

The Selected Cruises brochure features packages that span Norway, Portugal, Spain, Gibraltar and France with cruising aboard Funchal and the recently refurbished Princess Danae.

All cruises are backed by the operator’s Tourlink service which provides free coach travel from 850 local joining points across the UK.

A seven-day Highlands and Islands of Scotland package, which sails from Dundee in June and visits Invergordon, Ullapool, Tobermory in Mull, Stornaway in Lewis and Kirkwall in Orkney leads in at ú449.

An 11-day Scotland and the Fjords of Norway cruise costs from ú549 departing Dover on August 21. The itinerary includes Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Kirkwall, Lerwick and the Norwegian resorts of Bergen, Olden and Balestrand.

Passengers travelling from the South, West Country and South Wales for both the Norwegian Fjords and Highlands and Islands cruises will be provided with an additional overnight hotel stop in Yorkshire.

In the Mediterranean, the operator is offering a Spain and the western coast of Europe trip sailing from Harwich and visiting St Helier, Porto, Malaga, Gibraltar, La Coruna and Cherbourg. The 12-day package costs from ú589.

Wallace Arnold sales and marketing director Bill Maxwell said: “Cruising, along with air and rail packages, is becoming an increasingly important element of our holiday portfolio.”

He added that the strategy was to build on the loyalty that the Wallace Arnold brand commanded within the coaching business.
