“Business to Borneo has increased massively this year. Last year we only sent 380 passengers mainly because of bad publicity surrounding the haze which has now cleared up. This year 840 passengers have already booked.
“People tend to stay at the Shangri La Tanjung Aru Resort at Kota Kinabalu and then take a side trip to Candakan where they visit the oran-utans at the Sepilok Sanctuary.”
