Fleet boosts Scottish flights

Ryanair is increasing capacity out of Prestwick Airport following the acquisition of 45 new Boeing 737-800s.

Flights to Paris will rise from one to two daily from July 1 while flights to London, Stansted will increase from four to six flights daily from April 22.

The first of the low-cost airline’s new Boeings arrived at Dublin Airport last week – acquired as part of a $2bn deal to meet demand for low fares in Scotland and across Europe.

Commercial director Michael Cawley said more direct services from Scotland to Europe are planned.
