ARTAC offers Irish agents new branding


ARTACis planning to roll out the Worldchoice name to its



41 Irish travel agents at a meeting tomorrow as part of its drive to expand the brand out of the UK.



Commercial director Julian Foster said he expected around 15 agents to take part in phase one of the branding with the rest following later.



“There is an element of wait and see,” he said.



Agents that sign up for the branding will get their new split fascias over the next six weeks. A major TVand press advertising campaign will promote the name afterwards.



A further 20 agents will be targeted to join the consortium.



Foster said agents in South Africa and Australia had also expressed an interest in adopting the branding.



Meanwhile, ARTAC is expected to sign an agreement with new alliance partner Thomas Cook by May 1.



The planned move follows the recent merger of ARTAC’s former alliance partner Carlson Leisure Group and Thomas Cook.
