Group makes properties hit brand targets

GOLDENTulip Worldwide is tightening control of its portfolio by becoming more than just a sales and marketing representation group.

The company is now recruiting properties under fully operational licences, encouraging its existing members to follow suit.

At present, hotels are provided with worldwide sales and marketing support and are represented by Golden Tulip on the global distribution systems.

Director of marketingRuth Dawson said under the new system Golden Tulip will also offer commercial business support, training programmes and procurement services. She stressed that existing hotels would not be thrown out of the group if they did not want to move to fully operational licences.

Under the quality assurance programme, hotels which do not meet the standards will be making necessary improvements. If they fail to make the investment, they will not have their contracts renewed.
