LABOUR MPKeith Darvill is tabling a second Parliamentary question on the transparency of vertically-integrated companies, claiming the first answer was unsatisfactory.
The renewed push through the House of Commons, prompted by Association of Independent Tour Operators chairman Paul Chandler, follows an inconclusive answer by consumer affairs minister Kim Howells to a first question tabled by Darvill. After asking for the current situation on the display of ownership links, Darvill was only told “negotiations are continuing with the Office of Fair Trading”. “I now intend to table a more pointed question,” said Darvill.
