CONDOR Ferries is launching direct night-time sailings from Weymouth to St Malo this summer.
The fast-ferry operator’s other services to the French port go via Guernsey and Jersey.
The direct crossings will operate on 17 nights in July and August, departing France and the UK at 1am. Crossing time is 4hrs, 15mins.
The need to reposition the craft for these new services means there are also 17 more day-time sailings from Jersey to St Malo.
General manager sales and marketing Nick Dobbs said a high-profile advertising campaign and transparent pricing had boosted demand for the route, which reached 100,000 passengers last year.
“We have had unbelievable support from tour operators to France,” he said.
Keycamp was Condor’s top tour operator to Brittany last year.
