INSPIRATIONS’ high profile managing director Steve Endacott is expected to emigrate to the US to work for parent Carlson, Travel Weekly can exclusively reveal.
Endacott is moving as a result of the company’s proposed merger with Thomas Cook. It could spell the end of Inspirations as he is one of the few outspoken supporters of the brand.
Endacott has spent the past few weeks in the US and is likely to be offered a position in Minneapolis as deputy to Carlson Leisure Group president Mike Batt. Endacott will concentrate on looking for acquisitions for Carlson in the US and study the best ways of utilising the Internet.
Endacott’s responsibilities will be split between Sunworld managing director Simon Vincent and Thomas Cook head of retail Andrew Windsor.
Carlson refused to comment.
