Inspirations set for direct drive on lates market

INSPIRATIONS is embarking on a direct marketing campaign with Teletext retailers following the launch of its late sales brochure.


Getaways will be mailed directly to customers as well as being distributed to agents.


Managing director Steve Endacott said:”There is a reluctance to book on text simply because customers cannot see the property. With Getaways they will be able to see what they are getting.”


The brochure contains 30,000 holidays and features 40% of the operator’s beds. Savings of up to £190 per person are on offer.


“A brand name is just as important in lates as it for early sales, hence Getaways,” said Endacott .”We are being very aggressive with the pricing. In lates it’s all about mitigating your losses.”


He predicted a tough late sales market after factors including poor weather and building society windfalls benefitted operators last year.


Meanwhile, the operator has released new-look wintersun and India brochures. Capacity has been doubled to 100,000. Full details next week.
