P&O Stena Line has reported a 38% share of the passenger market to December 31 1998 on its three cross channel routes since it launched the joint venture in March last year.
The ferry operator also reported 34% share for tourist vehicles on the Dover/Calais, Newhaven/Dieppe, and Dover /Zeebrugge routes. Profit before restructuring and tax was £54.5m for the period.
