Manos to launch Greek airline

FORMER Airworld managing director Shaun Dewey is setting up an airline for Greece specialist Manos Holidays.

The carrier, which starts domestic flights in Greece on April 1, is expected to brand the Manos name on aircraft.

The Greek-owned tour operator’s aviation division manager Denny Yovanoff confirmed the new airline’s summer launch.

“Flights are due to start on April 1 on domestic routes,” said Yovanoff.

The carrier is expected to offer island-hopping flights to UK holidaymakers as part of Manos packages.

Dewey was axed by Airworld-owner Thomas Cook following the merger of Sunworld and Flying Colours last summer (Travel Weekly July 29 1998).
