CityJet boosts capacity to Dublin

IRISH independent airline CityJet is stepping up capacity on its London City-Dublin flights following strong demand.

Its schedule rises to seven flights each weekday on March 28 from the current six daily.

The carrier, which also serves Dublin 18 times a week from East Midlands, said weekend schedules would remain at present levels.

In the lead up to the capacity rise, CityJet is offering special fares to Dublin from both UK airports to keep traffic at high levels.

Passengers can buy two economy return tickets for ú129 or ú119 for London City and East Midlands flights respectively. Customers must stay for a Saturday night or two nights. Day return fares are available at ú185 from London City and ú168 from East Midlands. Offers are valid until March 28.

Meanwhile, CityJet is to lease more aircraft from its BAe-146 fleet to Air France for use on its Paris-Florence flights.

CityJet already co-operates with Air France on London City routes to Paris and Strasbourg.
