Agents should let operators

IN your Mystery Shopper feature (Travel Weekly February 10) all but one of the agents visited were unable to assist with the request for a vacation to Boston andBarbados.

Trident Travel gave an impressive service. However, in all cases agents could have provided a much faster and efficient service for their client if they had telephoned a tour operator with the flexibility to tailormake a US/Caribbean holiday.

At British Airways Holidays, our tailormade team would have been able to quote over the telephone offering a fully inclusive price flying from London to Boston and Barbados via New York.

This would include hotel accommodation in both destinations and transfers where required. When it comes to tailormade holidays, agents should let the tour operators take the strain and the chances are they will end up with a profitable sale.
