DISNEY has brought the sales and marketing efforts for its cruiseline under the UK team that sells its US theme parks.
The London-based team will be promoting Disney’s two ships as well as working on sales for Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California.
Previously, cruise sales were managed from the US, with UK agents having to go through London to make bookings.
Manager for travel industry sales UK Kevin Brett said: “The trade required a single point of contact. This also allows us to streamline our communications better.”
Brett said an 11-strong team dedicated to the trade will concentrate on promoting the three Disney products.
This department has been expanded with the addition of four new staff in recent months.
The UK move comes before Disney’s second ship, Disney Wonder, begins operating in August.
