AITO directory adopts brochure style for ’99


THE Association of Independent Tour Operators has launched its 1999 directory with a new brochure-style design.



More than 60,000 copies of the brochure, which contains details of 170 operators and 4,000 holidays, are being distributed.



AITO chief executive Julia Hendry said: “We took some ideas from members as we wanted to give it a brochure look. We also wanted to emphasise that the directory contains a choice of thousands of holiday ideas.”



Hendry said a new-style information booklet on the Campaign for Real Travel Agents will also be launched shortly. It will contain a map of the UK pinpointing where the 350 CARTA members are based and a list of all independent operators and their brochure cover.



About 300,000 copies will be published.
