I AM surprised to read that Gill Airways is in partnership with Connect Car Rental (Travel Weekly December 16 1998).
Connect, in the guise of Travel Extras, made a presentation to us in September.
At no time following this was any indication given by this company that we wished to enter into an arrangement with Connect.
Indeed, we advised Travel Extras that we were concerned to establish the precise nature of delivery of services such as car parking, accommodation and insurance, because of possible “packaging” implications. This matter has not been pursued further by us and it is therefore quite false for Connect to suggest that any such arrangement is either in existence or contemplated.
