UPMARKET operator Abercrombie and Kent has released a dedicated Millennium Collection brochure with eight escorted tours and a selection of beach-based holidays.
Included is an 11-night tour to ancient and modern Egypt with a New Years Eve party at the pyramids. It costs ú3200.
Other tours in the 200 capacity programme have been hiked by as much as ú2100. An eight-night Nile in Style cruise, which usually leads in at ú1180, will cost ú3280.
Head of planning Stuart Douglass-Lee said: “Millennium enquiries have been coming in steadily to us for the past two years and we have been discussing what holidays we can offer since the end of 1997.
Since that time we have been working hard to secure those ideas and enabling clients to make firm reservations.”
Egypt aside, the operator is featuring Africa, India, the Far East, Indian Ocean, Caribbean, South America and Europe.
Others tours include a 13-night, five-island cruise in The Galapagos – for ú4,985 per person – and a 12-night Rajasthan Celebration tour into the Thar desert. It costs ú4,090 per person.
