Staying loyalto simple issue


LIKE many people in our industry, I was shocked to hear that Simply Travel has become part of Thomson. I have worked with the Simply team for a long time now and have really appreciated its friendly reservations staff and reliable product.



The personal letter I received from Graham Simpson the day after the announcement is typical of the caring attitude he has shown me from the outset.



However, the back-stabbing faxes that were sent by some of his competitors keen to cash in on anti-Thomson feeling among some agents, left a very nasty taste in my mouth. I have had personal assurance from a company I trust they will continue to support the independents and will not sell through Lunn Poly, Going Places or Thomas Cook.



Times change and none of us can afford to be too nostalgic in the cut-throat world we have to work in. Simply Travel’s holidays continue to be in great demand in my agency and as long as it continues to deliver the high quality my clients expect, I will continue to support it.
