ADVANTAGE Travel Centres, Going Places and Travelworld have told operators they want to break existing contracts and negotiate better commercial deals.
The move follows the setting up of the Advantage franchise deal with Going Places and Travelworld parent Airtours which gives the group a combined network of around 1,300 shops.
Industry sources said Going Places may de-rack those operators who refuse to co-operate.
Advantage managing director Ron Muir admitted there could be resistance from some operators but said they would be “persuaded” to co-operate. Going Places declined to comment.
