SOUTH African Tourism Board UK director Russel Barlow-Jones has been made redundant following a global restructuring of the organisation.
Barlow-Jones had reapplied unsuccessfully for a similar post to his present one. The recruitment process was conducted under a South African government affirmative action programme aimed at getting more black people in to senior posts.
Barlow-Jones leaves on April 30. Deputy director Basil van Blommesteim also lost his job. The new SATOUR management will be announced shortly.
