VENUEfinding and conference specialist In Business Reservations has spoken out against reports that an economic downturn is hitting London’s conference market.
The agency, which places around ú10m of bookings for around 500 events in the capital each year, said reports have been generated by a fear among properties.
UKevents manger Jane Morley-Davis said:”I don’t so far see any decline in the market for London conference sales but that does actually conflict with what the properties are saying.”
IBR operations manager Dean Vitellozzi added: “If there is any effect, it will be felt by the middle ranking hotels as some customers move towards the budget end of the market.”
