Galileo signs deal with Apex to boost access

GALILEOInternational has signed a sales and marketing agreement with California-based Apex Solutions to bring a range of travel management reporting products to UK agents and travel managers this month.

The agreement means users of Galileo and Apollo systems will be able to access travel management reports in electronic format instantly.

At present, the complicated nature of travel management reporting means it can take between 30 and 90 days for reports to be processed, and a week to run ad hoc queries.

The Galileo/Apex solutions make reservation and ticketing data available throughout the reservation process, allowing agents to provide more up-to-date information to their clients.

Agents interested in the new product should contact their Galileo account representatives for further information.

n Thomas Mutryn, US Airways senior vice-president finance and chief financial officer of USAirways, has been elected to the Galileo International Board of Directors. He replaces Terry Hall as US Airways’ representative on the board.
