SAA MANAGER QUITS MARKETING POSITION
Tony Farmer has left his position as South African Airways sales and marketing manager UK and Ireland to pursue a personal business interest. SAA is currently looking for a replacement for Farmer to work alongside regional general manager for Europe John Smith.
METRO TRAVEL AND TOURS CEASES TRADING
Caribbean specialist Metro Travel and Tours in Newman Street, London has ceased trading. The Civil Aviation Authority said there were no clients overseas when the tour operator stopped trading just days before Christmas.
SCANSEA DIRECTOR HEADS FOR SEYMOUR JOB
Scandinavian Seaways sales and marketing director Robert McKenzie has resigned. He will leave on March 31, after six years with the company. McKenzie said he was joining Seymour Hotel Group in a senior management role, but he refused to reveal his exact title. ScanSea is looking for a replacement.
