n magic of italy launches web site



Magic of Italy has gone live with a new Web site. Public relations manager Yasmin Sethna confirmed booking enquiries can be made over the site but for the time being, Magic said it is contented with people simply ordering brochures from it. Making actual bookings over the Web will not be a thing of the near future as the nature of the product was judged too complex, said Sethna.



n thermalia’s health and beauty breaks



Thermalia Travel offers Italian breaks with a difference through its Health and Beauty Holidays brochure which features 12 properties in Italy. Treatments range from fango mud and thalassotherapy to a variety of massage techniques. The five-star Hotel La Residence in Abano can arrange special green fees at the local18-hole course. Lead-in price is £921 for seven nights’ room-only accommodation with five treatments in June.



n citalia buys island for hotel complex



Citalia has bought the island of Saccasessola near Venice, just five minutes by boat from St Mark’s Square. The operator is planning to open a new luxury resort in September, comprising the Hotel Marco Polo and 50 apartment suites, with a separate restaurant. The hotel will have 250 rooms, a 600-seat restaurant and convention hall.



n eurosites flydrive holidays are 40% italian



Italy accounts for 40% of EuroSites’ new flydrive programme. Seven nights at La Quercia near Lake Garda in May based on a family of four sharing a luxury tent leads in at £805, including return flights, accommodation and seven nights’ car-hire.
