TALKS between Thomson and Thomas Cook over the Preferred Agent scheme have broken down.
Despite months of negotiations, the two parties are still at loggerheads over a number of issues including the releasing of names and addresses and branding.
Thomas Cook retail managing director Andrew Windsor admitted: “There is still a fair distance between us and Thomson.”
Thomson marketing director Shaun Powell also admitted there was virtually no chance of a deal.
“It is unlikely Thomas Cook could even reach the sales criteria after signing a deal with Carlson,” he said.
