HAVING suffered the loss of a group in an air crash a few of years ago, I sympathise with what Explore Worldwide has been through in the past few weeks (TravelWeekly January 13).
Its handling of the tragedy is a model for all to follow when faced with a similar predicament. By controlling the media so efficiently, by constantly liaising with its clients and being totally honest throughout, the company ensured the off-beat travel trade as a whole has emerged with minimal damage – hundreds of small operators must be grateful for this.
