BUDGET is to launch two new customer loyalty programmes for its business and leisure customers.
Both schemes have already proved a success in the US and will be rolled out in the UKthis spring.
Budget Fastbreak, for business travellers, will replace the operator’s existing business programme, Budget Express.
Budget UK sales and marketing director Roddy Graham said: “Our aim is to have a product nearer to Hertz #1 Club Gold. Business travel is increasing and we believe there is demand for this product.”
Clients become members by signing one master rental agreement, which means no further paperwork when they pick up a vehicle.
At major airports, they collect their cars from a Budget location. At smaller airports, there is a dedicated Fastbreak section at the rental counter where clients have to show their licence and collect their keys. A receipt can be printed on the spot by a Budget service agent when vehicles are returned.
Fastbreak will be complemented by a new customer loyalty programme, Perfect Drive. The scheme awards points tomembers every time they rent a car. Points can be used for free rental days, Callaway Golf merchandise, or be credited to the airline frequent flyer programmes in which Budget participates.
