The glitterati of the travel industry assembled at the London Aquarium last week at the request of Qantas to honour Australia Day.
Guests could have been forgiven for thinking they would be getting some fine fresh fish for dinner – especially considering they were surrounded by live specimens.
But sadly this was not the case, as Qantas general manager UK and Ireland Ross Keenan explained: “As we do not want to upset their potential relatives, there is no fish on the menu,” said Ross.
And he quickly put people straight who dared to suggest the prawn starter was being disrespectful to shellfish.
