CARLSON Leisure Group UK’s retail management team is expected to be merged with Thomas Cook’s when their alliance is given the go-ahead by the European Commission.
Industry sources said the two companies are expected to consolidate their teams and base them at Thomas Cook’s headquarters in Peterborough.
ACarlson spokesman said it was too early to comment. “It’s business as usual.”
The two parties have completed due diligence and are currently reviewing their structures in preparation for the expected ECregulatory approval within six weeks.
Decisions on the future of both groups’ tour operating and airline brands are expected when the EC makes its ruling.
